The invisible boy

The Invisible Boy (2013), written by Trudy Ludwig and illustrated by Patrice Barton, follows a quiet, thoughtful boy named Brian who often goes unnoticed by his classmates. At school, he sits quietly and observes, rarely being included in games or classroom activities. Because he doesn’t speak up or draw attention to himself, Brian becomes “invisible” to others. When a new student arrives, he notices details about her that the other children overlook and reaches out with friendly gestures. Through sharing small moments and engaging in simple acts of kindness, Brian begins to connect with the new student. As the story unfolds, he gradually becomes more visible to his classmates, and his experiences trace his journey from being overlooked to forming friendships and participating actively in his school community.
