Where's the elephant?
Where’s the Elephant? (2016), written and illustrated by Barroux, follows the story of a young elephant that wanders away from their group and gets lost in a crowded city street. Pedestrians hurry past, largely unaware of the gentle giant navigating the urban environment. A small child notices the elephant and begins to follow them, observing their movements and trying to keep it safe from traffic and obstacles. Along the way, the child receives help from pedestrians, who communicate through gestures and expressions despite not speaking the same language. Together, they carefully guide the elephant, ensuring they avoid danger and stays on course. The story follows their efforts to protect and lead the elephant, highlighting teamwork, attentiveness, and empathy. The narrative traces the events from the elephant’s initial disappearance to the successful reunion with its herd.
