Let's keep on learning and being in touch with new ideas: read these journals for teachers and teacher trainers. Some are easily downloadable for free online and others can be found in our University libraries (Udine in Via Petracco and in via Margreth).
A Journal of International Children's Literature
It is a refereed journal published quarterly by IBBY. Bookbird aims to communicate new ideas to the community of readers interested in children's books and is open to any topic in the field of international children's literature. Bookbird also includes themed issues for which the editor will post calls for manuscripts on the IBBY website. Bookbird also includes news of IBBY projects and events which are highlighted in the Focus IBBY column. Other regular features include coverage of children's literature studies and children's literature awards around the world as well as reading promotion projects worldwide.
Children’s Literature in English Language Education
CLELE journal is a bi-annual, comprehensive, peer-reviewed online journal for scholars, teacher educators and practitioners involved in using and researching children’s literature in the field of English learning as a second, additional or foreign language. The journal investigates children’s literature as an art form, and as a framework with which to connect L2 literature teaching across the school years. The scope covers the affordances of children’s literature for L2 acquisition with pre-school infants through to young adults.
